Awesome ! An overused but, in this case, appropriate phrase.

As a Forces Vet' the day held a special significance. As a biker I was overawed by the turnout, organisation and the weather. That's some committee you've got there !

The public lining parts of the Ride-In, and those on the bridges, brought tears to my eyes. Our Fallen can sleep well, knowing that they are still loved and remembered.

Thank you.

What an incredible and moving experience! Thanks to Martin and the RTTW team for a very well-organised day - considering the huge number of bikes, the whole event ran very smoothly. A poignant service followed by that amazing Spitfire! A fitting tribute to all those lost in action. Long may this event succeed.

Jan and Norm

We did the RTTW1 and RTTW2, and intend ( God willing ) to do this for such a worthy cause each and every year.

We all have our own reasons for doing this ride. But at the end of the day it all amounts to one thing..Paying respects to those who have given so much for freedom...and raising money to help fund this beautiful Arboretum.

Perfectly organised and marshalled all the way along the line.

As a Yank serving in the UK, it was an honor riding with my brothers and sisters yesterday, making my personal tribute to all those who have fallen in the defence of your great nation since WWII.  The roar of that merlin engine is truly the sound of freedom! Well done!  ...see you next year!

Guest: Thanks to the Organisers

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all those involved in organising RTTW 2009.  It was a spectactular and moving event.  Those of you in yellow vests marshalling the route did an ace job.

I had hoped it would be on the evening news but alas I don't think we made it - maybe next year!

Amazing and moving day.

I will never forget the lady beside the road with the name of a soldier on a placard, to be remembered.

For me it made the day so special and meaningful.

Will be there in 2010!

Darron Ringrose: Mr

We attended the ride and memorial on sat 10th october 2009. It was a priviledge for the 4 of us. One of our group has recently retired from the REMY so it was his idea for a ride out. The other 3 of us had never heard of the RTTW or even the memorial. We have already discussed attending next year and will invite others to attend also. For us it was a chance to ride our bikes and enjoy a day but we were also remnded of the reason why we were there when our friend shown us the names of his fallen coleagues on the wall. A VERY BIG WELL DONE to EVERYONE who organised, helped and attended. Thanks for the day out and for helping everyone to remember.

What a fantastic day with lots of mixed emotions.

Great ride-in, brilliant atmosphere and great support from those who lined the roadways and bridges to show their support.

The pipers just added to the feeling of sadness for those who have given their lives - and the spitfire just made the day that much more special.

Thanks to the organisers, the police, the other bikers and to the guy who did the flypast.
